Argaman
True Israeli wine
Each variety has its origin, but few originate from Israel. Argaman is an Israeli variety, cultivated in 1971, a cross between Carignan and Souzao. The goal was to create something truly unique to the local scene, something precisely suitable to the climate and soils. Despite its perfect Israeli character, Argaman spend most of its life 'underground', yet to be discovered by Israeli winemakers.
When we started the winery, it was clear to us that we had to use this truly Israeli variety, to meet our goal of making truly Israeli wine. After ten years, and Decanter Magazine giving it 96 points, for a "young" wine, it is clear that we have found something that fit the bill perfectly. Argaman 2017 will continue to improve over time.
